Thomas Pickels - Delivering IT Sales and Relationship Leadership
With more than a quarter century of leadership experience behind him, Thomas Pickels is a longtime IT and professional services executive who excels at enterprise solutions related to utilities, enterprise software, and consulting. Thomas Pickels’ present position with the customer success and professional services division of BMC Software centers on delivering sales solutions across the Western United States and Canada, as well as guiding high-profile client engagements from pre-sales to execution.
One of Mr. Pickels’ landmark accomplishments involved closing multiple contracts that shifted customers to BMC products after a major competitor raised licensing fees. He forged lasting customer commitment through on-time delivery of requested products and services. Mr. Pickels’ IT and organizational leadership extends to companies such as Accenture and Duke Energy. While at Accenture, he provided support across verticals such as financial services, utilities, communications, government, and retail. He also managed a long-term Duke Energy contract that expanded value and attained sustained service-level agreement compliance.
Thomas Pickels earned his biology degree at Villanova University and pursued graduate studies at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Biomedical Engineering. He earned his MS with honors as a member of the Alpha Chi Ro fraternity and was a club ice hockey competitor. A hiking and outdoors enthusiast, he had the opportunity to visit Yellowstone National Park on a recent vacation.
